My friend Alex Gorbunov made a very long time ago F1 2001 mod for rFactor. With his permission, I do it for RFactor 2 Thanks for screenshots Changelog v1.2: - Jarno Trulli in Jordan now - New Single player phisics - Eliminated the conflict with F1 1999 mod by @ Download: - v1.2 I want to say thank you very much for the original mod for rF1 to my friend Alexander Gorbunov. I also want to thank you separately @ for a huge contribution to work on physics. Nice to these those beauties making an appearance in rF2!
Haven't tried the mod yet, but from your screenshots it looks as if the cars could use some more fresnel and specularity. From this photo gallery it looks, as if all cars had a pretty shiny appearance whereas your Jordan looks pretty much flat: Maybe you can ask from Apex modding or Alless from to lend you a helping hand or giving some tips of how to set up the materials and shaders properly as their cars look pretty nice 24/7 in the sim.
Or maybe just take a look at their setups. Nice to these those beauties making an appearance in rF2! I'm trying them in rF1. To be clear, what I did so far is setting the correct engine power, the maximum RPM (according to) and number of gears for all cars. I also modified the original set of tires to have intermediate and wet compounds, following RFE tutorials. I don't know it that can be helpfull for you. What I have to do next is to increase drag coefficients and decrease lift coefficients for some cars, so they have different performances even if they have same engines (for example BAR and Jordan had the same engines, and Ferrari and Sauber had almost the same). Well, thanks again for let me do something. Now I'm going to try V1.0!!!
Known issues:. Because the rF2 platform is still a work in progress, lots of small issues might pop up in future use. We will try to supply an update when there is sufficient progress made by ISI. On certain tracks there might be alpha bleeding on the window in cockpit view. We are looking in to this, but have not yet found the source of the problem. We also noticed that on certain triple screen setups that shadows might clip and generate a flashing black screen.
We are not sure if we can fix this problem at this stage of development. Driver View placement regarding the FOV needs to be tweaked. We will update the package in the near future.
